Winnipeg, Man. – The Men’s and Women’s Singles quarter-finals are set to be played on Friday, August 28 at the Winnipeg Lawn Tennis Club. Additionally, Friday will see the Women’s Doubles Semi-Finals and the Men’s Doubles Finals played later in the day. Three Canadians will be in action with Filip Peliwo in Men’s Singles and Aleksandra Wozniak and Sharon Fichman in the Women’s Singles. Fichman and her partner Jovana Jacksic (SRB) will also be competing in their Women’s Doubles semi-final against Melissa Kopinski (USA) and Olivia Tjandramulia (AUS).
Match play will start no later than 10:00 AM with Dimitar Kutrovsky (BUL) [1] vs. Filip Peliwo (CAN) [8] on Centre Court and Lyudmyla Kichenok (UKR) [4] vs. Kristie Ahn (USA) [5] on Court 5.
Court 3 action will start no later than 11:00 AM with Emily Webley-Smith (GBR) [7] facing off against Sharon Fichman (CAN).
