The start of the $100,000 National Bank Challenger is less than two weeks away: the men’s and women’s professional tournament will be held July 8-16 at Winnipeg Lawn Tennis Club. The tournament is the third largest in Canada behind the Rogers Cup and Granby Challenger.
The National Bank Challenger men’s entry list includes defending champion Go Soeda of Japan and 2016 finalist Blaz Kavcic of Slovenia. Among the Canadians competing will be 2016 Wimbledon junior boys’ singles champion Denis Shapovalov, 2016 US Open junior boys’ singles champion Felix Auger-Aliassime, Peter Polansky, and Frank Dancevic.
The women’s entry list includes Canadians Aleksandra Wozniak and Carol Zhao, as well as three players ranked inside the top 200 in the world: American Nicole Gibbs (No. 124), Viktoria Kuzmova of Slovakia (No. 159) and American Danielle Rose Collins (No. 164).

Ticket prices for the National Bank Challenger are $5 for a day pass and $25 for a week pass (free admission for July 8 and 9 qualifying rounds).
